BACKGROUND

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics is charged with the responsibility to formulate and administer policies and strategies in the transport and logistics sector. In addition, the Ministry is responsible for Management of Government Vehicles, provision of Pontoon and mechanical services as well as provision of printing services to Ministries, Provinces and Spending Agencies (MPSAs) and the general public in order to enhance the sectors’ contribution to socio-economic growth and development for the benefit of the people of Zambia.

To facilitate the provision of safe, reliable and integrated transport and logistics for socio-economic development.  The Ministry also envisions Zambia becoming  a dynamic regional transport and logistics hub

To be “A dynamic Ministry positioning Zambia as a regional transport and logistics hub”. The ministry also emphasizes on transparency, collaboration and embracing new technologies in the operations.
