The Ministry of Transport and Logistics was created in September, 2021 following the realignment of the mandate and functions of the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The Ministry draws its mandate from Government Gazette Notice No.1123 of 2021 and is mandated to coordinate the development, policy and regulation of the transport and logistics sector.

Specifically, the Ministry is responsible for the following portfolio functions: –

Airports, Aerodromes and Airstrips; Aviation Training; Canals and waterways; Civil Aviation and Airways Policy; Control of Government Transport; Flight Services; Government Fleet Management; Government Printing and Gazetting; Pontoons and Mechanical Services; Railways Policy; Road Traffic Policy and Road Transport Policy

LOBITO CORRIDOR RAILWAY LINE DONE DEAL, TAYALI NEW YORK, USA 🇺🇸, Tuesday, September 25, 2024 - Minister of Transport and Logistics Hon. Eng. Counsel MUSEBA FRANK TAYALI, MP and his counterpart from Angola RICARDO DANIEL SANDAÕ QUEIRÕS de ABREU signed the Lobito Corridor Railway Development Concessioning Agreement with the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC) who are the lead developers of the project United States Lotte Palace Hotel in New York, United States of America.
The newly appointed Civil Aviation Authority Director General Captain DERRICK LUEMBE paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Hon. MUSEBA FRANK TAYALI, MP, in line with the Authority's continuous stakeholder engagement agenda as the DG settles in his new office.
